Room Specifics and Amenities
There is a cable, internet, and phone jack in every bedroom and in the living room. Your cable and internet are free of charge.
Inside the clubhouse is a game room equipped with billiards and ping pong. There is also an auditorium for study groups or meetings. Inside the clubhouse are two 42 in. televisions, which are available for your viewing.
It is also equipped with laundry facilities, open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. There is a vending room within the clubhouse.
The clubhouse hours are from 8 am till 8 pm on Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday. Tuesday hours are 8 am till 6 pm. Saturday hours are from 10 am till 2 pm. The clubhouse is closed on Sunday.
Outside the backdoors of the clubhouse is the swimming pool. Located at the back of the property are an outdoor basketball court, and a volleyball court made out of sand.
Next to the mailboxes there are two dumpsters. Your trash must be placed in either dumpster, not next to or on top of the dumpster, and not outside of your doors or buildings. Housing contract be courteous and take care of your trash. There are fines for leaving your trash outside and they will be collected. Note: Trash pick-up is every Tuesday and Thursday.
Maintenance is provided by 博彩平台 Maintenance for any issue occurring during office hours. Housing contract fill out a maintenance report at the front office and they will take care of it as quickly as possible. For any emergency maintenance issue occurring after hours, call the office to reach an RA.

Laundry is available in the clubhouse. Students load money onto their 博彩平台 ID for open access to laundry machines in their community. Students need to provide their own detergent. Powered detergent is not permitted.
Yes, there is secure WiFi that can be accessed using a student's 博彩平台 username and password.
Yes, there are printers available in the clubhouse and across campus in academic buildings for student use.
Room dimensions vary considerably. At this time, our team is unable to provide specific dimensions of individual rooms to students and families.
Students should submit awork orderrequestso a member of our Facilities team can inspect and address the concern. Students will receive emails to their 博彩平台 account letting them know each time the status of their work order changes, including when it has been completed.
If a student believes that their issue is an emergency, they should immediately contact an RA.
Private areas (houses, apartments, private bathrooms, adjoining bathrooms, common areas of a private room) are the responsibility of the residents of the room. Residents of the houses and apartments are responsible for keeping their spaces clean.
Beds & Lofts
Our beds are twin sized, extra long (the dimensions are 36" x 80"). We recommend purchasing extra-long twin sheets.
Residents must provide their own linens.
Yes! Students are able to loft their beds. Beds in units can be lifted and lowered without the use of lofting kits.
No. Students must use a lofting kit provided on bedframe to loft their beds. Contact housing at reslife@lsua.edu for more information.
You can lower your bed at any time. Students requesting assistance with lowering beds can contact an RA for assistance.
No. You will, however, need bunking pins to ensure your beds are safely bunked. Bunking pins can be picked up from your RA. Contact housing at reslife@lsua.edu for more information.
Decorations & Furnishings
The living room is furnished with an end table, coffee table, couch, and TV stand. Each bedroom is furnished with a bed frame, a mattress, a personal desk with chair, and a wooden drawer that accents the desk. Every window has mini blinds. The kitchen is equipped with a dishwasher, stove with oven, and fridge/freezer with ice maker. You may bring extra furniture; however, furniture provided cannot be removed.
Nails and screws are prohibited in the walls. Housing contract do not use anything that will pierce the sheet rock completely. The picture hanging kits at Wal-Mart or the hardware store with the hooks and small nails work great. Also the “Command” stick-on hooks work well.
Yes, students are encouraged to decorate their rooms so that they feel more comfortable in their space. Decorations should be in line with college policy.
No. Students are not permitted to paint or wall-paper the walls in campus housing facilities.
Most of our student rooms are not carpeted. While students are not permitted to install carpet in their rooms, students are welcome to use a standard sized rug to help make their room more comfortable.
All college housing facilities are considered fully furnished. Due to limited space, provided furniture may not be removed from student rooms, houses, or apartments. Students who bring additional furniture should plan accordingly.
No. Students are required to provide their own shower curtains/liners.
Blinds are provided for windows in residence hall rooms. Provided blinds may not be removed. Additional decorative curtains are allowed if hung using tension rods. Window dimensions can vary slightly from room to room so we recommend waiting until after you move in to measure for decorative curtains.

Heating & Cooling
All campus apartments are air conditioned.
Residents are able to control their own heating using the thermostat in the common areas of their house/apartment.
Keys & ID Card Access
Residents who are locked out of their room should first try to locate a staff member (Resident Assistant) who can let them back into their room. If they are unable to find a staff member, they can contact the following:
Residential Life - (318) 767-2616 | (318) 664-1020 (afterhours) When the clubhouse is closed, current residents may call for assistance for lockouts, noise complaints and reporting an incident. For emergencies, please call 911 or campus safety
Residents who have lost their room key should immediately contact Residence Life so a loaner key can be issued until the lock can be changed and new keys can be cut. If you lose your key outside of normal business hours, contact the on-call staff member in Residence Life to assist you.
Once a lost key has been reported, our team will work with Facilities Services to replace the lock and issue all the residents in the room a new key. This process results in a $300 lock and key replacement charge. This charge will beapplied to their student account and can be paid at the Cashier's window in the Abrams Hall.
If your roommate has lost their key resulting in a need for a lock change, you will not be charged as long as you still have your key. This cost is only applied to the accounts of the students responsible for losing their key. In the event that multiple people in a room have lost their key, the charge may be split among the residents of the room.
Mail & Packages
All mail is delivered to the front office in the clubhouse. When a student receives mail, an email will be sent to their 博彩平台 email from a staff member. When the email is received the student will be permitted to come to the window to collect their package. All students must have their 博彩平台 ID in order to collect their package.

No. The campus post office is open Monday – Friday 8:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
Students who are unable to pick up packages during these times will be able to pick up their packages when regular business hours resume.

Students are not required to move-out for the Winter. Students can leave their things in their room if they are planning to return for the Spring semester.Students not returning for spring will need to check-out with a staff member.
During student move-in, we have volunteers available to assist students and their families with unloading vehicles and moving items into their rooms. During any other time, there are no volunteers or staff available to assist students and family with loading or unloading vehicles.
Parking
Yes. All students are permitted to bring a vehicle to campus and are able to park on-campus.
All students are required to register their vehicle with the Auxiliary Serviceseach year. Students can register their vehicles once they arrive on campus.
There will be an academic year fee of $56.00 per vehicle registered during the Fall and Spring Semester. Students enrolling in Summer only will be charged $28.00 per vehicle registered. This fee is due at the time the vehicle is registered.

No problem. We use a roommate matching system to match you with someone who shares your hobbies, habits, and lifestyle.
Yes, but only on Friday and Saturday nights. You must register your guests a day early, and all your roommates must agree and sign a consent form. On weekdays, guests are allowed from 8:00am-11:00pm. All guests must register with the main office.
No. Everyone has an individual housing contract.
Yes. Students who are 21 years of age are permitted to consume alcohol responsibly within the expectations and guidelines of the college's alcohol policy.
There are no curfews. It is your right and responsibility to judge what hours to keep; however, there are quiet hours.
Everyone has an individual key to their bedroom. Lock your door when leaving the apartment.
For 博彩平台 students all fees are paid at the 博彩平台 accounting office. Payments can be made with cash, check, money order, credit/debit card. For residents of LSUE or other universities, payments are to be made at the accounting office in the form of a check or money order. LSUE STUDENTS MUST PAY FULL SEMESTER FEE BEFORE MOVE IN.

All first-year students that are under 21 and live outside of a 40-mile radius of the university are required to live on-campus as part of the College's residency requirement. Only students who submit an exemption requestandreceive approvalfrom the Office of Residence Life are released from the residency requirement.
Yes. Students are permitted to have a guest visit and stay with them on-campus for up to three (3) days. Students who wish to host guests are expected to get permission from their roommate prior to the arrival of guests and have guests checked in at the front desk.
Safety & Security

Students are automatically enrolled in the campus emergency notification system and will receive emergency alerts for events that threaten the life of safety of students, staff, and faculty on-campus (e.g. tornado, fire, gas leak, violent person on campus, etc.). When such an event occurs, emergency messages are sent out via landline, cell phone, SMS text messages, and email messages.The Emergency Notification System is only activated during emergency or crisis situations. These alerts are usually in the earliest moments of a crisis or emergency, and may contain very brief concise information and directions. Rooms, hallways and public areas are equipped with smoke detectors and other fire safety equipment. Fire extinguishers are available in common spaces (kitchens, lounges, etc.). We do not allow candles or incense in the rooms and smoking is not allowed anywhere on the 博彩平台 campus.
While not required, we strongly encourage students to consider purchasing some kind of insurance coverage for their personal belongings. If your family has personal property insurance at home, check to see if the policy covers your belongings while you are at school. If it does not, consider purchasing renter’s insurance. 博彩平台 is not responsible for the loss of or damage to personal property of students.
Yes. Officers with the 博彩平台 Department of Public Safety are available to walk with students across campus when requested.
Storage
No. However storage racks are available for bikes, skateboards and scooters.
No. Students are not permitted to store any items in student rooms during the summer. Items found in rooms following check-out may be discarded by college staff, and students will be billed for any associated costs.
Unfortunately, we are unable to provide storage to students who are on or planning to take a Leave of Absence or Medical Leave of Absence.
